Bitmap
|
Bitmap graphics types consist of very small pixels which
are all individually a different colour. Bitmap images are usually taken on a
digital camera which will capture all the pixels and is capable of being
modified and made larger at a high resolution without destroying the image
however may still lose some quality if zoomed in relatively close to the
image. I have chosen bitmap particularly for this as they do not have to be edited for the viewers purpose.

JPG, GIF, TIFF

Vector
|
Vector
graphics are scalable meaning that they can be adjusted so that the image is
capable of being larger and displayed on various surfaces such as a Van. It
is made up of lines and dots so the image can be rescaled without the image
being ruined due to pixilation. I have chosen a vector graphic for a vehicle image as they are capable of separately altering single images and re-scaling there size and colour etc.

Vector requires an additional plug-in to be view on the
internet. The vector graphic type will be required for saving the image as a
bitmap image for the logo so that it can be adjusted and rescaled however you
must save it as a PNG file so that you can view it online. Vector graphics are better for displaying logos and bitmap display drawn images better, also they are both best to use when text is involved.
